The Orlu Political Consultative Assembly (OPOCA) has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for Imo East, Uche Onyeagucha, to apologise to the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, over what they described as an unwarranted media attack on the governor and the government of Imo or be arrested.
The group also threatened to re-commence a discontinued criminal case against Onyeagucha if he fails to act as directed.
Addressing newsmen in Owerri, yesterday, the group’s leader, Rex Anunobi, said OPOCA had reasons to believe Onyeagucha is complicit in the wave of insecurity and criminality in parts of the state.
The group also accused him of instigating insecurity and anarchy by his recent conduct and utterances, noting that “Onyeagucha has left a trail of violence and gross misconduct in his public life.”
