Group holds rallies on Ambode’s second term bid
A group, the Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard, have begun the re-election bid of Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, by staging rallies in the three senatorial districts of the state.
The coordinator, Mr. Seyi Bamigbade, said aside the march, the body also led Muslims to hold a special prayer for the success of the present administration, even as it sought their support for the initiative.
The prayer was led by the President, Council of Imams, Imam Khidir Olojeola.
Bamigbade said Ambode needs the prayer of Lagosians. He said participants at the march showed support for and appreciated the governor for not disappointing the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Lagosians.
Speaking at the prayer session, the member representing Epe Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Segun Olulade, said the state has been blessed with good leaders, who have a passion for making life easy for the residents.
Olojeola noted that the first term of Ambode was characterised by laudable projects including improved road infrastructure, schools’ upgrade, improved healthcare sector and massive investment in security.
