Group urges IGP to redeploy Kano CP over partisanship

Kano State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Yusuf
The Centre For Awareness On Justice and Accountability (CAJA) has asked that Kano State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Yusuf be redeployed over his alleged lopsidedness and partisanship.
CAJA Executive Director, Comrade Kabiru Saidu Dakata, in a press briefing, insisted that the activities of CP Yusuf no longer guarantee equal field for all political parties ahead of the general elections.
Kabiru claimed the CP has compromised all known neutrality in the discharge of his duties, citing cases of bias in his engagement among parties, which he claimed has made the Police to lose Kano residents’ confidence.
The CAJA boss lamented that the CP’s actions and body language indicated undue favour for the ruling party, a development he claimed poses grave danger during the general elections.
