Edokpayi, who said the group’s goals and objectives were geared towards protecting the rights of citizens and at the same time upholding the rule of law, said: “Section 105, sub-section 3 of the Constitution as amended saddle the responsibility on the person elected as governor to issue a letter of proclamation to the Clerk of the House for the inauguration of the state House of Assembly. The question here is: Were all members-elect aware of the day and time of the inauguration?”
In another development, another social political group, Joint Action for the Advancement of Democracy in Edo (JAADE), has hailed Oshiomhole for his charismatic leadership, which has attracted two ministerial slots for the state.

“The heartwarming news of two ministerial slots for Edo State underlines Adam’s Oshiomhole charismatic leadership of the APC, and this is more so because it is the first of its kind in Edo State history. As a pro-democracy platform, we accordingly thank President Muhammadu Buhari for yielding to passionate pleas along this line.”
“We have no doubt that the ministers will complement the pragmatic and charismatic leadership of APC National Chairman and speedily enhance Federal Government’s presence in all parts of Edo State. We call on the ministers to give priority attention to national security through constructive and sustainable youth employment opportunities. We will provide roadmap and templates to these ministers pro bono, and additionally organise town hall meetings across the state to sink Buhari’s programmes in every nook and cranny.”
