Yemi Edun makes Powerlist for seventh consecutive year

Yemi Edun

London-based property entrepreneur and philanthropist, Yemi Edun, has been named among the 100 influential people of African, African Caribbean and African American heritage in the UK on the 2027 Powerlist for the seventh consecutive year.

Edun was also named a finalist for the 2026 PwC Purpose Award at the Celebration of Black Excellence (COBE) Awards, in recognition of his professional achievements, philanthropy and commitment to supporting people in need.

The Powerlist celebrates leadership, professional accomplishments and contributions to society, while Edun’s latest recognition marks another milestone in a career spanning more than two decades.

As founder of Daniel Ford International, Edun has spent over 20 years advising clients, particularly Nigerians and other international investors, on acquiring and managing properties in London and the surrounding commuter belt.

Beyond his property business, he supports initiatives in mobility, education, the arts and sport through A.C.E, a philanthropic initiative established in 2020.

One of its key projects is the provision of wheelchairs in memory of his late mother, helping people with mobility challenges regain independence, dignity and access to everyday opportunities.

Commenting on the recognition, Edun said he was honoured by the selection, adding that it reflected the importance of consistency, integrity and building something of lasting value.

He also expressed gratitude for being shortlisted for the PwC Purpose Award, particularly because of the recognition given to the wheelchair initiative.

“I have always believed that success should mean more than what we achieve professionally or accumulate financially. It should also be reflected in the opportunities we create, the people we support and the difference we make in our communities,” he said.

The 2027 edition marks the 21st edition of the Powerlist publication. Edun’s selection will be celebrated at the COBE Awards on October 30, 2026, at JW Marriott Grosvenor House in Mayfair, London.
