A legal practitioner, Mr. Adeola Adebayo, has been kidnapped by suspected kidnappers in Erio-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

The lawyer and his family members were said to be travelling back from Osogbo when they were attacked by unknown gunmen.

His father, a lawyer and lecturer at Ekiti State University, his mother, sister and wife were released, while they kept him in captivity.

According to a statement by his family, the heavily-armed gunmen, numbering 10, told the lawyer’s family to pay the N100 million for ransom before he could be released.

The lawyer, who is the Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikole -Ekiti Branch, told his family on phone that they should be fast on the payment as they threatened to kill him.
