A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Mr. James Tolorunloju Ajulo, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

Ajulo, who was whisked away at his residence in Ibaka Quarters, Akungba-Akoko, on Sunday, is the Ward Chairman of APC at Akungba-Akoko in Akoko South West Local Council of the state.

It happened a few days after a septuagenarian was kidnapped in Ese-Odo Local Council of the state.

The Guardian learned that the kidnappers stormed his house shortly after his arrival from an outing and the house was ransacked before they took him away to an unknown destination.

Sources within the area revealed that he was driven away in his personal car and they are yet to contact members of the family.

A political associate of the victim, Tolu Babaleye, who confirmed the incident, said that “the kidnappers laid an ambush for him in his house.”

Meanwhile, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Femi Joseph, said that investigation had begun, adding that police detectives had been mobilised towards rescuing the victim.
