The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced that he has saved N110 billion for the FCT in his three months in office.

Wike made the announcement on Tuesday during a meeting with the Estate Developers and Residents’ Associations in the FCDA Conference Hall in Abuja.

The former Rivers State Governor attributed his ability to save such a large sum of money to his prudent management of finances.

He also stated that the saved funds would be allocated to projects in order to accelerate their completion.

“Three months in office, I can tell you authoritatively, I have saved not less than N110 billion for the FCT and this money will be attached to projects so that people will see indeed that the taxes we are paying are being utilised for the interest of the people,” Wike said.

Wike also disclosed plans to roll out a bus and taxi scheme for the FCT within the next month.
