Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA), yesterday, flayed Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike for allegedly attacking opponents even within his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The group also urged the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Faruk Yahaya and Director General, Department of State Services, Yusuf Magaji Bichi, to instruct their operatives not to be used to attack political rivals.

In a statement by its National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, HURIWA reminded the governor that power is transient, and should, therefore, play politics by the rules of constitutional democracy and justice.
