The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) yesterday handed over 40 operational vehicles recovered from retired senior officials of the Ministry of Water Resources, to the Permanent Secretary, Rabi Jimeta.

The vehicles include 14 Hilux pick-up vehicles, 14 SUVs, three Toyota Avensis, seven Toyota Corolla, one Toyota Camry and one Audi A6.

The 14 SUVs are two Toyota Rav 4, one Audi Q7, one Ford Explorer, one Land Rover, one Nissan Patrol and eight Toyota Prado.

All the vehicles were recovered in December by investigation officers from the ICPC led by the Director of Asset Tracing, Frank Nanakumo.

At the handing over at the ICPC headquarters in Abuja, the Chairman of the commission, Ekpo Nta, who was represented by Bako Abdullahi, wondered how 40 official vehicles were removed from a ministry without approval.

The suspects would be charged to court after the completion of investigations.
