IELTS announces enhancements to English test
IELTS Director of Operations for MEA, EU & CIS at IDP, Darrin Vardon, has revealed that Nigerians taking the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) on a computer can receive their results in as little as two days.
Vardon noted that the faster results are intended to support IELTS test takers who face tight deadlines as part of their global study, work, or migration applications.
He also mentioned that the quicker results turnaround time demonstrates IELTS’ commitment to helping test takers achieve their big global goals.
“We know an IELTS result is important to our test takers, who are chasing a place at a university, a visa, a new job, or a new life abroad.
‘’That’s why we are working quicker to check answers, undergo integrity processes, and give test takers the right score that opens up opportunities,” Vardon said.
While faster results will help test takers, it will not come at the cost of quality.
Operations and Business Development Manager, IELTS, Abiola Akinyemi, said that even though their processes have been innovated to release results faster, their focus is still on assessing human conversation with real people, experts, and support.
‘’Our highly trained experts conduct the assessments in person, ensuring accurate and fair evaluation of your English language skills.
‘’With over 12,500 trusted endorsements from universities, governments, and employers, an IELTS result sets our test takers apart,” Akinyemi added.
