Igbinedion varsity graduated over 15, 000 since inception, says VC
• As 16 Students Bag First Class, 169 Second Class Upper
Vice Chancellor of Igbinedion University Okada (IUO), Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye, at the weekend,, said the university has, since inception, graduated over 15, 000 undergraduate and postgraduate students with track records in their various careers. Ezemonye spoke during the 19th Convocation ceremonies of the institution in Edo State.
“At this convocation ceremony, another batch of 556 students comprising 433 undergraduates and 123 post graduates will be added to the list,” Prof. Ezemonye said. He continued: “They spread across the seven colleges of the university; of this number, 16 students graduated with first class, 169 with second class upper and 141 with second class lower division.
“I cannot conclude this address without acknowledging the efforts of the staff in successfully turning out yet another set of Blue-Sky graduates.
“The labour and sacrifices of the provost, deans, directors, heads of department and indeed, the entire staff have not gone unnoticed as they are deeply appreciated.
“I believe that together, we can look forward with satisfaction and pride to a future when our graduates will happily count us amongst those who have made the greatest impact in their lives’ journey,” he said.
He charged the graduating students to keep the flag flying and be worthy ambassadors of the University.
