Igbo Highlife musical maestro, Anyidons, eulogises Ezeigbo Ghana, Eze Ihenetu on rare leadership style

Nigerian highlife sensation, Anyidons (Ichaka Master), has praised His Royal Majesty, Eze Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, the Eze Igbo of Ghana on his rare style of leadership.

The music star made the remark when he paid a courtesy visit to the monarch in Ghana.

Anyidons, whose real name is Frank Ifeanyi Dons, is a celebrated Igbo highlife singer, songwriter, and performer known for his electrifying fusion of contemporary highlife and indigenous Igbo rhythms. With hit songs that resonate deeply within the Igbo culture, Anyidons has carved a niche for himself as a voice of tradition in modern African music.

As a proud son of Igboland visiting Ghana, a land that has long been a second home to many Nigerians, it was only right for Anyidons to pay his respects to the revered Eze Igbo Ghana, a custodian of Igbo heritage in the diaspora. This visit wasn’t just a mere formality, it was a reaffirmation of the bond that unites Ndi Igbo, regardless of borders. In Igbo culture, acknowledging leadership and seeking blessings from traditional rulers is a sign of respect and unity, values that continue to define the Igbo spirit worldwide.

Country Director, Media Strategy, to Eze Igbo Ghana, Njoku Macdonald Obinna, in a statement, said during the visit, conversations revolved around culture, unity, and the importance of upholding Igbo heritage even while away from home.

Eze Igbo Ghana, known for his fatherly role and commitment to fostering unity among the Igbo community in Ghana, welcomed Anyidons with open arms, appreciating his contributions to promoting Igbo culture through music.

For Anyidons, this moment was not just about paying homage, it was about strengthening cultural ties, bridging gaps, and celebrating the resilience of the Igbo people, whether in Nigeria, Ghana, or beyond.

Obinna said the visit serves as an inspiration for all Igbo sons and daughters. “No matter where life takes you, never forget your roots. The Igbo culture thrives on respect, tradition, and unity, and as Anyidons has shown, honouring these values will always open doors to greatness.

” To every Igbo in the diaspora, let this be a reminder that home is not just a place, it is the people, the traditions, and the legacy we uphold.”
