IGP in UAE for INTERPOL meeting
The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has joined others from 192 nations to attend the 87th International Police Organisation (INTERPOL) General Assembly 2018 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The event, which was opened yesterday by the emirate’s Vice President/Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ends on November 21, 2018.
Force spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, confirmed the IGP’s itinerary and the essence of the parley. Meanwhile, the Police Service Commission (PSC) will today in Enugu begin a four-day management retreat to chart a new direction for the force. A strategic plan is expected at the end of the meeting, according to a statement by PSC’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani.
