Imo ENTRACO commences de-silting of Lake Nwaebere

In compliance to the directive of the Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha, the authorities of the Imo Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO), have commenced de-silting of the Lake Nwaebere, located near the Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri.

According to a statement issued yesterday by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA), Public Enlightenment, Eze Ochiwar Ugochukwu, the action is sequel to the earlier directive by the governor during his visit to the university, where he addressed the management, staff and students of the institution and promised to tackle the flood currently ravaging parts of the state capital.

He disclosed that in order to keep the state capital clean, the state Governor directed the purchase and distribution of 250 refuse bins in Owerri.
