Imo stakeholders urge Uzodinma to declare for second term

… laud Gov for Saturday’s APC victories in state

Stakeholders in Owerri West Council Area of Imo State including Traditional Rulers, political leaders and appointees have urged the state governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma to declare his interest to re-contest in the forthcoming governorship poll in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the people in a world press conference held in Owerri, yesterday, Barr. Victor Muruako, Chairman of, the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, FRC said, they also adopted Uzodinma as their sole candidate for the coming guber poll.

The FRC boss disclosed that the decision was in recognition and appreciation of the massive achievements recorded by the governor in his first four years in office which are of great benefit to the people of the state.

Muruako, who is also a member of the All Progressive Congress, APC Presidential and State Campaign Council for the 2023 general elections also lauded Uzodinma for the successes recorded by APC in the just concluded Saturday’s House of Assembly poll in the state.

According to him, “the elections of March 18 2023, into the Imo State House of Assembly, remain an unequivocal vote of confidence on the leadership of His Excellency and the All Progressives Congress in Imo State.

“The governor has domesticated the APC not only in Imo State but in the entire South East. The evidence is in the acceptability of the people as revealed in the results of the House of Assembly elections of March 18, 2023.”

He further appealed to the Imo people to join hands with the governor in his zeal to transform the state for the overall good and development of the people and the state at large.
“In recognition of the sincerity and great works of His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma as Governor of Imo State, I hereby urge Ndi Imo to continue to support His Excellency for a second tenure. Please, let us all, as lovers of our dear state sink our differences and support Hope Uzodinma for a second term, come November.”
