Imo: Two abducted expatriates regain freedom

Two foreign workers of Craneburg Construction Company, abducted last Friday, along Owerri-Okigwe express road, have been released. The Guardian gathered that their release was made possible through combined efforts of security agencies in the state.

Two foreign workers of Craneburg Construction Company, abducted last Friday, along Owerri-Okigwe express road, have been released. The Guardian gathered that their release was made possible through combined efforts of security agencies in the state.
   
It was further gathered that the victims were presented to Governor Hope Uzodimma, yesterday morning at Government House, Owerri, where he assured them of efforts to protect them against similar occurrence. 
 
Uzodimma also reiterated his commitment towards curbing all forms of crime and criminality in the state, as well as offering good governance that would advance the well-being of citizens and residents of the state.
 
Also, spokesperson for Imo State Police Command, Micheal Abattam, confirmed the development, stressing that investigation was ongoing to arrest those behind the crime.  
   
He also reassured the Command’s commitment in taming the tide of insecurity in the state, while urging for partnership with citizens to guarantee adequate protection of life and property in the state.
