Mr. Salami gained national and industry recognition for his sustained impact within high-risk, high-volume enterprise environments, particularly through his work in securing and transforming the infrastructure of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), Nigeria’s largest electricity distribution company serving millions across Oyo, Ogun, Osun, and Kwara States. At IBEDC, Mr. Salami played a pivotal role in the end-to-end redesign, integration, and long-term optimization of the enterprise ticketing and customer-service management platform, a core operational system supporting multi-state electricity distribution and service delivery.

He led the cybersecurity architecture transformation of the platform, embedding Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), implementing role-based access controls, strict least-privilege enforcement, multi-layered identity verification systems, and comprehensive audit-trail frameworks. By introducing structured, security-driven processes and modern cybersecurity methodologies, he transformed legacy infrastructure into a secure, coordinated, and high-performing digital system capable of supporting large-scale operations.

His work strengthened system security, improved operational flow, and enhanced performance across the enterprise platform. Beyond routine responsibilities, he directed the full lifecycle transformation of the system, integrating security controls, operational workflows, and cross-department coordination into a unified and optimized infrastructure environment.

Building on this foundation of excellence, Mr. Salami delivered measurable improvements across IBEDC’s operations, addressing longstanding inefficiencies and vulnerabilities that previously affected service performance and regulatory compliance.

SLA breach rates declined from twenty-eight percent to below eight percent, while average service-response times improved by approximately forty-five percent. Unauthorized access incidents decreased by more than sixty percent, and escalation tracking accuracy improved by over fifty percent.

Mr. Salami further advanced cybersecurity modernization through the integration of continuous monitoring systems and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, enabling improved visibility, control, and decision-making across operational and security functions. These advancements reinforced system accountability, regulatory compliance, and infrastructure resilience within the organization.

Collectively, his work demonstrates sustained, high-level impact characterized by originality, scalability, and meaningful organizational transformation.
