With income streams running dry, unemployment and living standards taking a deep dive, it has become very imperative more than ever to assist those that have been affected during these difficult times.

With this in mind and in partnership with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, itel Mobile recently donated food and relief items to the Ipaja and Ayobo communities and environs in Lagos. The relief initiative is the brand’s contribution to taking care of residents that are most in need and recipients received foodstuff and other relief items from over 20 volunteers.

According to the Marketing Communications Manager (West Africa), Oke Umurhohwo, the outreach was a deliberate, impact-driven initiative that gave back to the vulnerable in a manner that showed that they are loved and valued as well. President of the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, Michael Sunbola said they are delighted to partner with the mobile brand to bring smiles to people’s faces at this critical time. He revealed that the country needs more support from individuals and corporate organizations, urging others to copy this initiative and give back to the less privileged.
