The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 Lagos State governorship election, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has dumped the party.
Jandor made the announcement while addressing his supporters at a press briefing held at Liberty Place, Ikeja, in Lagos, on Monday.
Giving reasons for his decision, Jandor accused the party of indiscipline, adding that anti-party activities had become the order of the day in the PDP.
He also said his decision was informed by the actions of some PDP leaders, including the former Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George, saying they worked against the party in the 2023 elections.
“We will consult widely with everybody and then take the decision to collapse our structure to another platform. What is majority on the ground now is that we have left the Peoples Democratic Party,” Jandor stated.
