JCI reiterates commitment to youth development in North
Junior Chamber International, Nigeria, has reiterated its strong commitment to invest in capacity building for the youthful population in Northern Nigeria.
National President JCI Sandra Ekene Efemuaye unveiled the plan projection of the chamber at the weekend during a press conference in Kano.
The media briefing was part of a series of activities making the JCI 2024 National Conference tagged “Lokaci Yayi” hold for the first time in the city of Kano.
Efemuaye explained the projected agenda was part of the core mandate of JCI in building future leaders and innovative generations among Northern youth.
The National President disclosed the JCI Sustainable Future Project under her leadership is being entrenched to uplift potential among the younger generation, especially at the grassroots to build a stronger society.
JCI National Executive Vice President, North West, Abayomi Oladipupo Lateef, added that the decision to win the hosting right of the 2024 conference to Kano was deliberately intended to impact the community and rejuvenate the core value of forthrightness.
Lateef stressed part of the program that would be exhibited in Kano includes capacity building to improve the leadership quality of the youth and business dialogue to revive innovation and entrepreneurship skills.
“It is a deliberate decision for JCI to bring the conference to Kano to impact on the community, rejuvenating values and norms. We have the audience the emir of Kano, and briefed him about the event. The emir is pleased with the development. We are deliberate about coming to Kano to recruit more membership and grow the JCI”. Lateef said.
National Executive Vice President, North East, Goodness Morakinyo, said JCI said the conference will feature discuss to address challenges mitigating the growth of future leaders and proffer solutions.
Morakinyo hinted that JCI provides an enabling opportunity to develop innovation among the young generations and education to build future leaders in Northern Nigeria.
