Unveils party this week, begins congresses April

Barring any unforeseen development, the Third Force Mega Party Alliance spearheaded by Prof. Attahiru Jega, Prof. Pat Utomi and key civil society and labour leaders, will be unveiled in Abuja, this week.

Prior to this, there will be a harmonisation and fusion meeting where all agreements reached by stakeholders on the structure and manifesto of the party will be ratified.

Other stakeholders include arrowheads of the #EndSARS movement and persons sympathetic with the ongoing women rally in the country.

In view of pressures and inquiries from aspirants and political gladiators, including former and sitting governors, ministers and lawmakers disenchanted with the country’s current state, the leadership of the Fusion Council of the Third Force Mega Party said it would screen defectors and new entrants to ensure compliance with its political charter.

Addressing stakeholders during a virtual parley of the National Consultative Front (NCFront), yesterday, a spokesperson of the Fusion Council, Ms Bilikis Bello, said the unveiling of the party will be followed immediately by a collection of nomination and expression of interest forms by intending executives at all levels and aspiring candidates, ahead of combined congresses, primaries and national convention scheduled to hold between the second week of April and end of May, in line with Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) guidelines.

The Fusion Council said: “We, therefore, wish to enjoin all Nigerians craving for value-based and service-oriented change to quickly register with the Third Force Mega Party to rescue and reset Nigeria from unprecedented misrule and hopelessness, as only those who register as members beginning from April 4, 2022, shall be eligible to participate at the various congresses, primaries and national convention.”
