He made the pledge yesterday in Dutse while flagging off the Sakwaya Basic Health Care Provision Fund.

According to him, so far six Primary Health Centres (PHCs) have been upgraded to general hospitals, while three new general hospitals were constructed in Gantsa, Guri, and Garki to be commissioned soon.

The role of human resource in healthcare cannot be over-emphasised, the governor said, stressing that a new school of nursing and midwifery was established in Hadejia to address the human resource challenge.
