Joke Silva, Shawn Faqua, Ifeanyi Kalu, others grace media, entertainment dinner

Nigeria's Queen of the screen, Joke Silva alongside stakeholders in the Nigerian entertainment and media industry has again converged for the second edition of Media and Entertainment Dinner to advance the industry.

Organized by That Good Media, the gathering seeks to unite celebrities, actors, and other players within the industry to drive a progressive mindset, activate clear sense of purpose that fosters and enables the Nigeria entertainment industry.
  
The private banquet which held recently at the Marcopolo Restaurant, Lekki had in attendance notable award-winning personalities and celebrities such as Big Brother Naija star couple – Teddy A and BamBam; award-winning actor Daniel Etim Effiong, industry veteran, Ifeanyi kalu and his wife Nicole; Veteran actress, Joke Silva; multi-talented actors Shawn Faqua; MC, voiceover artiste and thespian, Seun Ajayi; famed songstresses Omawunmi, Waje and others.

Speaking at the banquet, founder of Restoring Issachar’s Generation (RIG) and one of the patrons of the initiative, Prophet Tomi Arayomi, charged industry stakeholders to seek and run with the vision of God for their lives and to be aware of the level of influence they hold.
  
Arayomi emphasised the need for entertainers to embrace a visionary mindset; one capable of not just churning out content but lasting legacies that would transform lives positively, build the nation’s fortunes and provide a treasured learning foundation for coming generations.

He advocated excellence and responsibility-driven creativity for entertainers in expressing their craft bearing in mind that they are creators who play a vital role in influencing societal lifestyles.

  
Arayomi however revealed the establishment of an industry-led community fund in support of the creation of wholesome content with the sum of $10,000.00 (Ten Thousand US Dollars).
  
Also, convener of the dinner and CEO of That Good Media, Toyosi Etim-Effiong noted that the event, geared towards fostering collaborations and community among industry players, proved that there is strength in numbers and as a collective, “those of us in the industry can feel a sense of support for our projects and consciously build lasting legacies to reinforce our position as Africa’s leading entertainment industry and provide a blueprint for the generations to come.”

The organisers of the event also noted that the Media and Entertainment meeting would continue to expand its network and build a community of professionals driven by their desire for wholesome narratives. Adding that the next dinner is slated for this month of August 2022.
