Jubilation as Taraba re-arrests fleeing COVID-19 patient
Three was excitement in Taraba State yesterday when the technical committee on the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) announced the re-arrest of the female COVID-19 patient who recently escaped from an isolation centre in Sibre, Ardo-Kola Council of the state.
Some residents told The Guardian that they had peace of mind since the news of the re-arrest.
Before now, residents of Jalingo metropolis vowed not to go to sleep without knowing the whereabouts of the escapee.
Elated by the development, the people, who applauded the committee for being up and doing, urged the members to map out strategies that would prevent recurrence.
Confirming the re-arrest yesterday in Jalingo, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Innocent Vakkai, said the other seven cases were all in stable condition and receiving treatment.
