JUSUN urges Kogi to obey court on salary payment
Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Kogi State branch, has told the state government to obey court order and pay their salaries.
It chided the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs. Folashade Ayoade, for misunderstanding the union’s position on government’s data capturing and table payment policy.
The chairman, Emmanuel Waniko, expressed shock over her response in the letter dated June 19, 2019, after JUSUN had rejected the exercise following its declaration as illegal by the National Industrial Court (NIC) on June 3.
Ayoade had responded: “I have been directed to inform you that the said judgement was obtained without the knowledge and participation of first to fifth defendants in the matter and thus qualify as a default judgement, which can, upon application to the court, be set aside.”
