Kaduna debunks reports of Zaria invasion by terrorists
Kaduna State Government has debunked reports that terrorists have invaded Zaria to prevent citizens from entering the ancient city.
The government urged the residents to go about their normal businesses, adding that the Kaduna-Zaria highway is safe for travellers to ply.
In a statement, yesterday, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, noted: “The attention of the state government has been drawn to a widely circulated message advising citizens not to enter or exit Zaria, alleging the presence of hundreds of bandits at Dumbi and Jaji along the route to Zaria.
“The government wishes to firmly debunk that message, urging citizens to disregard it completely. It is an obvious attempt to spread panic.”
