The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kaduna State Chapter has said it will be victorious during the governorship election. It, however, condemned the irregularities recorded during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The state party chairman, Felix Hassan Hyat, at a briefing at the party’s secretariat, yesterday, asked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to be transparent, just and fair to all parties.

Hyat also called on security agencies to always abide by their rules of engagement and avoid complicity in a sensitive national exercise that has very far-reaching impact on the survival, progress and unity of the country. He decried replacement of trained polling officers with untrained ones.

Similarly, PDP Kaduna Central Senatorial Candidate, Lawal Adamu Usman has said the party is committed to exploring all available lawful, constitutional and democratic windows to reclaim the allegedly stolen mandate from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Usman, expressing sadness over the outcome of the Presidential and National Assembly polls in Kaduna State, said the state government and APC ridiculously tampered with the mandate voluntarily and collectively given by the people to him during the elections.

He said: “We reject the process that led to the announcement of that manipulated, fabricated and concocted results, and call for their immediate cancellation”.
