In recognition of African youths shaping the continent’s future, renowned Nigerian travel and educational consultant Kamson Sodiq Adebowale has been appointed ambassador of the ECOWAS Youth Council. This prestigious appointment acknowledges his unwavering commitment to fostering peace, innovation, and sustainable development across Africa.
As Managing Director/CEO of Royal Edifice Travel and Education Agency, Kamson has also been conferred the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence and Integrity. This distinguished honor was announced in an official letter signed by Council President Ambassador Emmanuel S. Williams, dated October 6th, 2024.
The ECOWAS Youth Council plays a vital role in promoting youth empowerment, peacebuilding, and sustainable development in the region. Kamson’s appointment takes effect immediately, enabling him to continue advancing the cause of youth across West Africa.
When asked how he felt about the recognition, Kamson expressed profound gratitude for this recognition. “This new role will grant me the opportunity to strive for African development and sustainability,” he stated. “It will also enable me to network and collaborate with more African visionary leaders dedicated to similar aspirations.”
Kamson has significantly impacted the lives of numerous scholars across West Africa. Through partnerships with academic institutions and educational partners in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and more, he has helped students achieve their study abroad dreams. His company, Royal Edifice Travel and Education Agency, has achieved tremendous success over the past decade.
Kamson’s dedication has earned him numerous awards, including the Nigerian Lions Charity Foundation (NLCF), City Plus Celebrity Magazine Award, National Association of University Students Award, Humanitarian Safety Chaplaincy Mission Corps Award, and the University of Lagos DLISA Award.

The ECOWAS Youth Council, established in 2014 as the youth arm of the ECOWAS Commission, aims to minimize the challenges faced by youths, promoting regional economic cooperation and integration among 15 countries with diverse historic trajectories.
