Kano guber: ADC’s guber candidate picks ex-TETFund director as running mate
The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2023 election in Kano, Shekih Ibrahim Khalil, has unveiled Dr Aminu A. Anas as his running mate.
Khalil, an Islamic cleric, who doubles as Chairman, of the Kano State Council of Ulama, confirmed the development while briefing journalists in Kano.
A university teacher and part-time lecturer with the University of Abuja Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education, Dr. Anas is joining the race against bigger parties.
He holds double doctorate degrees both in Management and in Public Administration and Policy Analysis from Aberystwyth University, Wales, United Kingdom and the University of Abuja respectively.
He has previously worked with Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), where he rose to become Director, Human Resource and Gen. Administration before he left in 2020.
It could be recalled that Sheikh Khalil emerged as the ADC candidate in the state after a unanimous decision of the party’s delegates.
He was formerly with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) before he later resigned his membership to join the ADC in 2022.
