Katsina to establish model dispute resolution centres
The Chief Judge of Katsina State, Justice Musa Danladi, yesterday said his office would establish a model Community Dispute Resolution Centre in the state capital to address minor cases between community members.
Danladi also said his office was considering establishing a Commercial Dispute Resolution Centre as well as an Educational Dispute Resolution Centre, to address minor commercial and educational disputes respectively.
He was speaking at a two-day capacity building Training for Court Reporters, sponsored by a Journalists for Accountability and Good Governance (JAGGI), in collaboration with the state government.
“It is only when the issue is not resolved that they can take the matter to court,” he added.
