Kebbi police arrest three brothers for killing suspected motorcycle thief

The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested three biological brothers for killing one Abbas Abubakar aka Zabi, who they suspected to have stolen their motorcycle Haojue known as Roba-Roba.

The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested three biological brothers for killing one Abbas Abubakar aka Zabi, who they suspected to have stolen their motorcycle Haojue known as Roba-Roba.
 

    
The Command’s spokesperson, Abubakar Nafi’u, who confirmed this, in a statement, yesterday said the suspects: Abubakar Ahmed; Ubaidu Ahmed and Halilu Ahmed were of the same father in the Badariya area of Birnin Kebbi metropolis.
 
According to him, the suspects went to the residence of one Sanusi Abubakar and demanded that he call his junior brother, Abbas Abubakar aka Zabi for them because they were suspecting him to have stolen their motorcycle Hajue known as roba-rob.
 
“When Abbas Abubakar came, they took him to their house, tied him with a rope and beat him to coma and later took him to  the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) office in Birnin Local Council,  where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor. The suspects were later arrested and detained by the DPO.”
   
“The state commissioner of Police on receiving the report has directed the DPO  to immediately transfer the case to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Birnin Kebbi for a thorough investigation of the criminal conspiracy by the suspects and prosecution in law court.
    
“He warned people, particularly youths against taking laws into their hands while assuring that the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution,” he added.
