Kumuyi prays at Trump’s inauguration event
The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, attended the special programme held ahead of the inauguration of President Donald Trump in the U.S.
At the event, Kumuyi’s profile of being a professor of mathematics and the pastor of the third-largest church in the world was declared to the audience.
Stepping onto the podium, the clergyman compelled the audience to pray for America, just as he thanked God for making the gathering possible.
While praying, he said, “Almighty God, we thank you and bless your name. What a great and glorious God you are. And what a gathering we have this afternoon. We thank you for the church in America.
“You said upon this rock you will build your church not just for that generation but for all generations. And you said the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
“Lord we have come in preparations for the inauguration of Donald Trump the president tomorrow. We are asking you, grant him wisdom and grant the church the unity, the knowledge and forthrightness to speak the truth to power.
“And we pray as you connect the church with the leader, we pray that it will be a good unity that will help the president and the church to remain the church.
“Revive the church and purge your church that there will be holiness and the righteousness you expect for your child and your church will have a meaningful ministry in government as well as in the nation.
“Confirm it oh Lord and answer the prayer of your people for this nation America in Jesus name we pray.”
