The General Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, yesterday, urged the Nigerian electorate to consciously do what they have to do and vote for a leader they know individually that would move the country forward.

Kumuyi, who stated this in Ado-Ekiti at a media briefing heralding the ‘Global Crusade with Kumuyi,’ billed to take place in the state capital, said that those who refused to vote would inadvertently allow those who vote to speak their minds.

The General Overseer, who was asked whether he would be stepping aside for another person soon, said: “I don’t know whether I know my age or not. Your age depends on how you feel inside. If you go by chronological order, you can say he is old, but if you look at the state of the mind, the focus and the vision, as well as what you want to see done in your time, and also raise up people that will be able to do something for our generation, I wouldn’t say I am old.

“Actually, when you look at people, the function of their brain, mind and ability, and quite a lot of things determine who a person is as for age. If I look at those parameters, I don’t feel I am old. Sometimes it surprises me how I remember things.”

“My vision and focus is that whatever I have learnt, whatever I have got spiritually, academically and vision wise, I want to pass to the next generation.

“We have people who have led their countries in their 70s and 80s. We have some people of the past generation who have led their countries even at 90; I am not referring to African leaders who are not doing anything. If you take for instance, Winston Churchill or Charles De Gaul, these people are able to craft a vision for their people.
