Kwara confirms receipt of FG’s palliative
Kwara State Government has received 12,058 bags of grains of maize, millet, and sorghum from the Federal Government.
The state Commissioner for Communications, Mrs Bola Olukoju, disclosed this in a statement in Ilorin, yesterday.
The grains comprised 7,042 of 50kg bags of maize, 2,916 of 50kg bags of millet and 2,100 of 50kg bags of sorghum.
According to Olukoju, the state government also received 8,700 of 25kg bags of rice.
She said the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, would flag off the distribution of the grains in the state soon.
The commissioner said the distribution template sent by the Federal Government would be strictly followed.
She said the state government had always supported the people of the state to cope with the hardship caused by the removal of fuel subsidy.
