The Kwara State government has made plans to host the ADP Agro Input Fair this year.

This initiative is designed to support farmers with quality agricultural inputs and training ahead of the new planting season.

A statement by the Press Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ashaolu Omotola, said the fair would be held between February 24 and 28, 2025, at the ministry’s premises in Ilorin.

The statement, which was also sent to newsmen, said the fair, initiated by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, aligns with his commitment to food security, agricultural development, and economic empowerment.

He explained, “The initiative is designed to ensure farmers have access to affordable and high-quality farm inputs and essential support services to guarantee a successful farming season.”

According to the statement, the fair will provide farmers with several opportunities, including access to affordable farm inputs, workshops and training, climate advisory, extension services, outgrowers scheme registration, market linkage, and security advisory.

The state, however, assured farmers of ceaseless support that will boost agricultural productivity to ensure access to necessary resources for a successful farming season.

The fair is expected to attract smallholder farmers, commercial farm owners, agro-dealers, and industry experts, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and economic empowerment.
