The Lagos State Chairman of Community Development Committee (CDC), Alhaji Amusat Azeez, yesterday called on residents to be community builders and security conscious in the face of crisis across the country.

Azeez spoke during the presentation of the award to the wife of the member representing Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency 2, Mrs. Olufunke Johnson, yesterday.

Azeez urged Lagos residents to ensure that they are involved in the activities of the community, saying anyone could be a leader, but it was more important to be a community builder.

The award of Pillar of Support presented by the CDC, Isolo LCDA chapter, recognises the awardee’s supportive roles in the discharge of the lawmaker’s duty as a representative of the constituency at the green chamber. The organisers also said Mrs Johnson’s attributes, characterized by her strong ethic with a spirit of innovation, an extraordinary act of bravery, and selfless teamwork, have robbed off positively among women in the constituency.

The Chairman of Isolo LCDA described Johnson as a pillar of unity to the women’s development, who has worked tirelessly for the growth of the constituency. He, therefore, appreciated the first lady of the constituency and prayed for God to bless her bountifully for the good works she is doing.

Other awardees are the wife of the Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Mrs. Ibironke Olaleye; and Mrs Enitan Roseline Idimogu, wife of the Lagos State House of Assembly member for Oshodi/Isolo Constituency 2.
