The kidnappers of the 65-year-old guard, Kakaja Joseph and four other poultry workers at Igbodu in Epe area of Lagos State have demanded N20 million ransom.

It was learnt that the gunmen established contact with the son of the guard, Isaiah at about 9.pm on Monday and demanded for five million each from the captives.

Isaiah who spoke with newsmen yesterday on phone said he was already sleeping when the strange caller called him demanding for the ransom.

“When I picked up my phone, the callers told me not to panic, that they were the one who kidnapped my father and that what they were after was money. “Presently, we cannot afford the money they are demanding. Those who were kidnapped, the salaries for three years cannot take care of the ransom because these are people who are earning N15,000 to N20,000 monthly, how do you expect them to get such amount of money?” he said.
