The N382.16 billion earned locally by Lagos State in 2018 surpassed the internally generally revenues (IGRs) posted by 29 states during same period.

The affected states besides Rivers, Ogun, Delta, Kano, Kaduna and Edo recorded N363.48 billion, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) stated.

However, the figures from Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and his aides showed that the state may have outshone 30 states, including Edo.

Though Lagos was yet to officially released its cumulative IGR for the period under review, its figures for the first quarter of 2018 contradicted what the NBS ditched out. Whereas the state claimed it generated N103.4 billion, the NBS, however, gave it N96.23 billion, leaving behind a N7 billion difference.
