Lagos slashes rate, moves commencement of e-call up on Lekki-Epe corridor

Lagos State Government on Thursday announced that the enforcement of the Lekki-Epe electronic call-up system will now commence on August 1, after an initial postponement.

This is about the third time the E-call-up commencement is being announced. It was initially postponed from March to June 2025, and was later postponed again after truckers protested against the N12,500 levy imposed on trucks by the Lagos State Government.

In a statement on Thursday, the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation also said that the electronic call-up charge will now be N10,000 as against the N12,500 per truck that was announced.

The new kick-off date and new rate for the e-call-up were agreed during a recent stakeholders meeting with the state government.
