Lagos task force arraigns female real estate fraudster

Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit, known as Task Force, has arraigned a fake female house agent, Mrs Bukola Ayorinde, at a Lagos Mobile Court in Ikorodu over alleged fraudulent activities.

The suspect was charged before Chief Magistrate Abimbola Oshodi-Makanju of the Lagos State Mobile Court sitting at Bolade in Oshodi.

The charges brought against the suspect included obtaining the sum of N250,000 under false pretense and conduct likely to cause breach of peace. She pleaded guilty to the three-count charge brought against her.

Magistrate Oshodi-Makanju adjourned till Friday, June 26, for a ‘fact and sentence’ judgment.

Speaking on the arraignment, chairman of the agency, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, said her arrest was effected after series of complaints from members of the public over some fake house agents obtaining large sums of money from them and absconding.
