Lagos to build more pedestrian bridges in Oshodi

The Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources has said it is aware of the need to make additional pedestrian bridges available in Oshodi.
This was after citizens of the state complained of horrible experiences while making use of the only available bridge in the area.
The Guardian learnt that one of the bridges connecting Oshodi Bus Terminals 2 and 3 was put under lock and key after it was discovered to be shaking, putting pressure on the available bridge.
Reacting, the Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, acknowledged the complaints experienced by pedestrians during the usage of the bridge.
He said, “The relevant authorities have been notified of the need to make available additional bridges in the axis.
“However, we thank you for adhering to the “No Crossing of Highway” Law in Lagos State and we’d like to plead that we all keep at it as we work to improve your commute in the axis.”
