LCAN, ABCCCP sign MoU on coaching practice

Two African professional coaching bodies, the Life Coaches Association of Nigeria (LCAN) and the African Board of Consultants, Coaches, and Coaching Psychologists (ABCCCP), have a partnership to boost the coaching profession across the continent.

Two African professional coaching bodies, the Life Coaches Association of Nigeria (LCAN) and the African Board of Consultants, Coaches, and Coaching Psychologists (ABCCCP), have a partnership to boost the coaching profession across the continent.

According to them, the alliance is poised to redefine standards, ethics, and professional development for coaches throughout Africa, setting the stage for a robust advancement of the industry.

“This partnership will propel the African coaching industry to new heights. The alliance leverages LCAN’s expertise in creating standardised coaching, accreditation, and networking platforms, as well as ABCCCP’s focus on ensuring the highest levels of ethics and excellence within the profession.

“This alliance represents a significant step forward for our continent,” LCAN Board of Trustees Chairman, Dr Lanre Olusola, said. By combining our strengths, we aim to create a robust framework that elevates the standards and ethics of coaching and consulting practices across Africa.”

In his remarks, ABCCCP’s President, Dr Mongezi Makhalima, said: “South Africa and Nigeria are two of the largest economies in Africa, making this collaboration a natural fit,

“The ABCCCP-LCAN partnership opens doors for practitioners across the continent, offering access to valuable resources and ensuring leaders in all spheres receive the highest quality coaching and consulting support.”
