Lecture on creative writing for national transformation holds
A lecture titled, “Creative Writing and Film Making for National Transformation: A Case Study of Joseph Edoki’s The African Dream” holds tomorrow at the Faculty of Arts Auditorium, Lagos State University Central Language Laboratory, Ojo by 11:00a.m.
Speaking on the book, which since its publication in 2005 has continued to get global acclaim as a novel that captures fittingly contemporary Nigeria’s socio-economic and political realities, Edoki said: “The African Dream is a phenomenal novel written and published in 2005, is about the making of an exemplary leader in a typical African nation, and how the ideals of good governance and responsible citizenship could be used to solve the problems of poverty, hunger and disease.”
