Get Guardian on GoogleAttorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN) has inaugurated members of the National Arbitration Policy (NAP) committee.
The committee is to formulate a comprehensive policy that will, among other things, ensure that domestic transactions originating and terminating in Nigeria are arbitrated in the country.
Malami charged the newly inaugurated committee members to take the assignment with all sense of seriousness.
Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations to the minister, Dr. Umar Jibrilu Gwandu, said he did the inauguration virtually.
He added that Malami said the proposed National Policy would also provide for sanctions against public officers who do not act in national interest while carrying out their official assignments.
