MALPAI Foundation sends Almajiris to school

A charity organisation, Mass Almajiri Literacy and Poverty Alleviation Initiative (MALPAI), initiated in 2009 by the wife of Kebbi State Governor, Hajiya Aisha Atiku Bagudu has enrolled over 300 less privileged children, mostly almajiris into schools in Kebbi.

A charity organisation, Mass Almajiri Literacy and Poverty Alleviation Initiative (MALPAI), initiated in 2009 by the wife of Kebbi State Governor, Hajiya Aisha Atiku Bagudu has enrolled over 300 less privileged children, mostly almajiris into schools in Kebbi.

The National Coordinator of the organisation, Mceba Temofe made this known to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, while touring the state with delegates attending a two-day International Literacy Day celebration and public lecture in Kebbi.

“The foundation is basically working to create learning environment for the children to access education,” he said.He added that the foundation is reaching out to government agencies and international organisations for collaboration on how to better the lives of less privileged children through education.
