Maltese First Division side, Mgarr United FC, has signed Nigerian youngster Wisdom Igiebor from the Perrypays Football Academy, a development programme founded by Perrypays Services Limited.
The club confirmed the signing via its official social media platforms, marking another milestone for the academy and its flagship initiative, the Perrypays Superstars Cup, a grassroots talent project aimed at nurturing and promoting young Nigerian footballers to international clubs.
Founder and Project Director of Perrypays Services Limited, Mr. Precious Dotty, expressed pride in the player’s achievement, describing it as a reflection of the academy’s commitment to youth empowerment and sports development.
He said, “The purpose of a company is not just to make money but to develop the communities where it operates. This achievement reaffirms our dedication to discovering, training, and projecting the next generation of football superstars from Africa to the world.”
The Perrypays Superstars Cup, organised annually, has become one of Nigeria’s leading youth football tournaments, attracting scouts, clubs, and sports organisations from Europe and other regions.
The 2025 edition recorded significant participation, and preparations for the 2026 tournament are already underway with plans for new scouting and partnerships.
Perrypays Football Academy provides mentorship, technical training, and international exposure to young players, equipping them to meet global football standards.
The academy said Igiebor’s move to Mgarr United underscores its growing reputation as a platform for identifying and promoting exceptional football talent.
Perrypays Services Limited reiterated its commitment to using sports, education, and community initiatives to drive youth development and empowerment across Nigeria and beyond.
