A Lagos-based businessman, Samsudeen Oluwo, has petitioned the acting Inspector General of police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, and the state Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, over alleged use of police officers for land grabbing and intimidation by a developer, Saheed Mosadoluwa, known as Ibile.

Oluwo, who spoke through Executive Project Director, Lawyers for Reform Group (LRG), Oladotun Hassan, alleged that police orderlies are being used by the developer, who is the Chairman of Harmony Garden and Estate development limited, to harass innocent persons.

Before the petition, there was a video showing Oluwo being stripped naked by a team of police officers and allegedly supervised by Mosadoluwa in the Epe area of the state.

Hassan urged the IGP to match his word with immediate action, by sanitising the Force.
Reacting, Mosadoluwa said: “The guy is a hired assassin engaged by Babatunde Gbadamosi to as
assassinate me. He confessed that they were paid N12 million to assassinate me.

“We have evidence to prove our claims. We have the complete video of what really happened, which showed how my men, with the help of police escorts, overpowered and apprehended the assailants after a tough battle. The video also showed how the man being stripped naked confessed that he was sponsored to kill me.

Responding, Gbadamosi said: “Everyone knows Ibile. I am not going to join issues with a common thug because he has decided that the best way to get attention is to make allegations. The claim of paying assassins is laughable. What would I gain from killing him?

However, spokesperson for Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said investigation is ongoing and further updates would be made known in due course.
