Zamfara State governor Bello Matawalle has nominated Senator Muhammad Hassan Nasiha to replace Mahdi Aliyu Gusau as deputy governor.

His nomination came hours after Gusau was impeached on Wednesday.
Senator Hassan is representing Zamfara Central Senatorial district at the Nigerian Senate.
