MBF decries insecurity under Buhari
The Middle Belt Forum (MBF) has said that the security situation in the country under President Muhammadu Buhari has gone out of hand.
Spokesman of MBF, Dr. Isuwa Dogo, stated yesterday that replacement of the incumbent service chiefs “is absolutely necessary, as the intelligence community has failed.”
According to the forum, the Ministry of Defence also needs an overhaul.
“The police and other paramilitary agencies need to be better equipped, trained, and motivated. This goes for the entire security apparatus in the country.
“The governors must wake up. At present, it appears that only the Borno State governor is on top of the game. Every community, every hamlet must be security-conscious.”
MBF also condemned the weekend’s abduction of pupils in Kankara, Katsina State.
